Phillies 6, Yankees 2
Spring Training Game 16 - Thursday Afternoon, March 13th in Clearwater
Record - 4-10-2
One Sentence Summary: Roberto Hernandez threw a perfect game through five innings, and the Phillies would go on to defeat the Yankees, 6-2.
What Happened: Don't look now, but the Phils have won three of their last five. Hernandez was extremely impressive in his outing, throwing five perfect frames and recording 10 of his 15 outs via the ground ball. Ben Revere had two hits to raise his spring average to .323 and Tommy Joseph contributed a two-run double in the eighth.
Featured Card: If you're up on today's baseball card happenings and if you happen to read and/or follow any of the baseball card-related blogs out there, you probably know that today is the day that 2014 Topps Heritage is supposed to "go live," as the kids say these days. This is Hernandez's card from last year's High Number/Update Heritage set, featuring the 1964 Topps design. If, like me, you read several dozen baseball card blogs on a daily basis, get ready to see a whole lot of the 1965 Topps design in your blogrolls once this year's Heritage set officially arrives.
The investigative reporting team over at Team Phungo has already confirmed the arrival of the long-awaited set is imminent.
