Milwaukee Brewers  8

2026 Philadelphia Phillies
Kids Club / Club 215
Saturday Night, June 13th
American Family Field - Milwaukee, WI
38-32, 2nd Place, 8 games behind the Braves

One Sentence Summary:  The Phillies barely held on to win a wild game in Milwaukee, downing the Brewers by a score of 9-8.

What It Means:  Cristopher Sanchez takes the mound this afternoon as the Phillies look for another series win.

What Happened:  Brandon Marsh, Edmundo Sosa and J.T. Realmuto each had three hits in this game, with Realmuto driving in four runs.  Sosa hit a solo home run in the second to start the scoring.  Two more runs scored in the fourth on a Bryson Stott double and Realmuto's RBI single.  Stott added his second double of the night in the sixth, breaking a 3-3 tie and scoring the first of five runs in the inning.  Realmuto had the big blow, launching a three-run home run to give the Phillies a 7-3 lead.  Marsh singled home Bryce Harper for a much-needed insurance run in the eighth, giving the Phillies a 9-5 lead.

Aaron Nola struggled again.  He didn't get out of the fifth inning, allowing three runs on six hits, including a pair of home runs.  Jose Alvarado and Brad Keller faltered late in the game, giving up a combined five runs to the Brewers in lengthy seventh and eighth innings.  Jhoan Duran restored ordered, pitching a perfect ninth, and earning his 18th save.

Featured Card:  This is the first card I've featured for Realmuto so far this season, which is an indication of how his year has gone so far.  His 3 for 4 night raised his season average to .210.
