| Tampa Bay Rays | 7 |
| Philadelphia Phillies | 0 |
Monday Afternoon, March 23rd
BayCare Ballpark - Clearwater, FL
Record - 10-18-2
One Sentence Summary: The Phillies finished their spring training slate of games with barely a whimper, dropping the finale to the Rays, 7-0.
What It Means: And that's a wrap on what seemed like a relatively quick Grapefruit League season. I think having the World Baseball Classic disrupt two weeks of the exhibition season likely caused that perception.
What Happened: With a preview of Thursday's opening day line-up taking the field, the Phillies' offense had five hits and was 0 for 5 with runners in scoring position. Edmundo Sosa had the lone extra-base hit, a double. Jesus Luzardo pitched five shutout innings before being chased in the sixth and charged with two runs. He struck out six.
Featured Card: See below.

Camp Head Count: Unofficially 31 - 5 = 26
Three non-roster invitees were told they had made the club - Justin Crawford (of), Dylan Moore (inf) and Tim Mayza (lhp). Four pitchers will start the season on the injured list: Orion Kerkering (rhp), Max Lazar (rhp), Daniel Robert (rhp) and Zack Wheeler (rhp). Garrett Stubbs (c) is out of options and will need to be dealt or pass through waivers and accept an assignment to the IronPigs before Thursday. I'm hoping the popular catcher sticks around with Lehigh Valley for as long as possible.
