Rob Thomson is a huge fan of Kody Clemens, but the manager has admitted there just wasn't room for him on the roster at times in 2024. Clemens filled in nicely at first base when Bryce Harper missed time in June due to injury. Throughout the season, he made 10 starts each at first base and third base, three starts at second base and had a start in left field. Clemens seemed to come up with clutch hits often throughout the season. Two of biggest hits were a game-tying home run against the Nationals on May 18th, and a walk-off single against the Rays on September 9th. He was one of the few players to find success at the plate against the Mets in the NLDS, batting .400 (2 for 5) and making a pinch-hit appearance in each of the four games.
