Matt Strahm authored a career year in 2024, earning a trip to the All-Star Game and finding himself in increasingly high leverage situations as the season progressed.  Strahm was 6-2 for the season with a 1.87 ERA in 66 appearances and 62 2/3 innings pitched.  He saved three games for the Phillies.  Unfortunately Strahm's regular season success did not continue into the postseason as he allowed four runs in late innings in both Games 1 and 2 of the NLDS against the Mets.  Strahm's shakiness in Game 2 resulted in a blown save, but Nick Castellanos delivered a walk-off single to pull out the win.  The fellow baseball card collector signed a one-year contract extension on March 24th that includes a vesting option for the 2026 season.
