Brandon Marsh came to the Phillies at the trade deadline last season, and immediately solidified the center field position for the club. Before Marsh's arrival, center field had been patrolled by Matt Vierling, Simon Muzziotti, Odubel Herrera, Roman Quinn and Mickey Moniak. Marsh batted .288 in 41 games with the team, providing a much-needed offensive spark plug along with above average outfield defense. His three-run home run in the second inning of NLDS Game 4 against the Braves helped power the Phillies to victory and advance to the NLCS. The opening day center fielder in 2023, Marsh is batting .355 through his first 19 games and currently leads the National League in triples with three and with an OPS of 1.122.
