One Sentence Summary:  The Giants outlasted the Phillies in this loss, with Brad Hand giving up the eventual winning run with a bases-loaded walk in the sixth inning.

What It Means:  👎

What Happened:  Not a lot of good things happened.  Noah Syndergaard had another short outing, lasting 4 1/3 innings and charged with four runs (three earned) on seven hits.  Hand had a disastrous sixth inning, allowing a hit and three walks.  Bryson Stott and Jean Segura both produced three-hit days, but the Phillies offense overall went 3 for 15 with runners in scoring position.  Stott hit his ninth home run in the fourth inning.

Featured Card:  Andrew Knapp, now catching for the Giants, went 1 for 2 in this game to raise his season average to .128.  He allowed Segura and Matt Vierling to steal bases, but gunned down Bryce Harper at second base in the third inning.
