2022 Topps Now #10
Phillies 4
, Mets 1
Game 22 - Saturday Night, April 30th in Flushing
Record - 11-11, 3rd Place, 4 games behind the Mets

One Sentence Summary:  Kyle Schwarber hit a two-run home run in the seventh and five Phillies relievers shut down the Mets over the final four innings in this 4-1 victory.

What It Means:  The Phillies are once again the Sunday night game of the week on ESPN, and they'll go for the series win.

What Happened:  With the Mets leading 1-0 after six innings, J.T. Realmuto worked a walk and Schwarber then launched a two-run home run off Mets' reliever Adam Ottavino to give his team the lead.  Odubel Herrera doubled home Alec Bohm for an insurance run later in the inning, and Rhys Hoskins added a solo home run in the eighth.

Jose Alvarado relieved starter Kyle Gibson in the fifth with the bases loaded and one out.  Alvarado proceeded to strike out Eduardo Escobar and Jeff McNeil to end the threat and preserve any hope for the Phillies.  James Norwood, Seranthony Dominguez, Jeurys Familia and Corey Knebel took it from there, with Knebel recording a four-out save.

Featured Card:  This is Schwarber's first Phillies baseball card featuring him wearing a Phillies uniform, issued after his opening day home run.
