Game 91 - Saturday Night, July 17th in Philadelphia*
Record - 46-45, 2nd Place, 2 games behind the Mets
*Game suspended on Saturday night in the 10th inning and concluded on Sunday, July 18th.
One Sentence Summary: After Ranger Suarez blew the save in the top of the ninth, All-Star catcher J.T. Realmuto connected for a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th to give the Phillies a 4-2 win.
What It Means: It was a rainy weekend in the Philadelphia area, and this game was marred by heavy rain that caused the game to be suspended in the top of the 10th. The Phillies and Marlins resumed play on Sunday afternoon, with Realmuto delivering his big hit about a half hour prior to the regularly scheduled Sunday matinee.
What Happened: Vince Velasquez (5 innings), Hector Neris (2 innings) and Archie Bradley (1 inning) all held the Marlins scoreless, but then Suarez gave up a bloop and a blast in the ninth to tie the game. Jesus Aguilar did the damage against Suarez with a two-run home run. The Phils had plated two way back in the first inning on an Andrew McCutchen sacrifice fly and a Rhys Hoskins double. The offense then went 0 for 9 with runners in scoring position until Realmuto's game-winner.
