Spring Training Game 15 - Monday Afternoon, March 15th in Tampa
Record - 7-7-1
One Sentence Summary: Chase Anderson improved his chances of making the starting pitching rotation, but the Phillies ultimately dropped this game to the Yankees, 4-2.
What It Means: Granted we're in strange times, but it was odd to me that a Phillies/Yankees spring training game was neither televised nor available on the radio.
What Happened: Anderson pitched three shutout innings, allowing two hits and striking out four. The game was tied up at 1-1 until the Yankees plated three in the seventh inning off Phillies reliever Hector Rondon. The Phillies' two runs came on Rhys Hoskins' first home run of the spring in the sixth inning, and an RBI single from Luke Williams in the ninth.
Featured Card: We were incredibly saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Hoskins' beloved dog Rookie on Monday afternoon. He was a good boy.
Camp Head Count: 66
