2010 Chachi #48 Roy Oswalt

Phillies 2, Dodgers 0
Game 113 - Wednesday Night, August 11th in Philadelphia

In his home debut, new Phillies pitcher Roy Oswalt combined with Ryan Madson and Brad Lidge to shutout the Dodgers, 2-0. Oswalt pitched 7 strong innings, allowing just 5 hits on the way to his 7th win of the season, and his first with the Phils.

The Phils managed just 1 hit in their first 3 innings, but they loaded the bases in the 4th with just 1 out. Unfortunately, they only managed a single run from the mini-rally as Placido Polanco scored on a Domonic Brown force out. They scored their second run when Raul IbaƱez extended his hitting streak to 18 games, doubling home Mike Sweeney in the process.

Other Stuff: Ross Gload pulled his right groin while rounding first in the 6th and had to be helped off the field. It's likely he's DL-bound, which would make him the 16th Phillie on the list in 2010. Shane Victorino tripled and homered in a rehab start for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, and he's likely to be activated in time for the weekend series with the Mets. And the disabled Chase Utley (thumb strain) has been cleared to start swinging a bat. He hopes to return by early September.

Finally: I waited patiently for an Oswalt win in a Phillies' uniform before posting his 2010 Chachi card. He's #48 in this year's set.
