2008 Topps Chrome Dick Perez #WMDPC15 Jimmy Rollins

With their 7-2 win over the Mets tonight, the Phils managed to regain sole possession of first place in the NL East. Rodrigo Lopez, making his first start since July 2007, pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowing just 2 earned runs and striking out 4. Most impressive was the fact that 62 of his 96 pitches were thrown for strikes.

Other than Rodrigo, the biggest contributing factor to tonight's win was Jimmy Rollins. His first inning lead-off double set the tone for the game and got the crowd involved early. He finished the game with 2 doubles and 2 RBI. Shane Victorino added 3 hits and 2 runs, Chase Utley contributed 2 hits and 2 RBI and (trade bait?) Greg Dobbs added a key 2-run single in the first.
