2008 Topps Allen & Ginter #300 Ryan Howard

What I wanted to post (drafted around 10:15 PM): That's more like it. Ryan Howard's 3-run home run in the 7th inning tonight put the Phillies ahead for good against the Nationals. It was Ryan's 7th home run of the season.

Joe Blanton looked iffy, walking 6 and allowing 4 runs in 5 innings. However, the bullpen (Chad Durbin, Scott Eyre, Ryan Madson and Brad Lidge) held the Nationals scoreless through the last 4 innings of the game.

Big things are needed tomorrow from Brett Myers and J.A. Happ.

What I was forced to post due to Brad Lidge's blown save in the 9th: Where is Brad Lidge? Who's going to start the 2nd game of tomorrow's double header since J.A. Happ had to come in to pitch in the 11th tonight? Thankfully, Raul IbaƱez ended the madness in the 12th inning with a 2-run single and the Phils would go on to win the game, 10-6.
