Cole Hamels would have been the Phillies' opening day starter this year, had he not missed parts of Spring Training with arm troubles. He looked very shaky in his first start on Friday night, but he insists everything is fine. (I sure hope so).
Phillies debut: May 12, 2006
How acquired: Selected by Phillies in the 1st round of the June 2002 draft.
