Arizona took the lead in the sixth on an RBI single from Lourdes Gurriel Jr., chasing Jesus Luzardo from the game. Luzardo got a no-decision, but had another strong outing, allowing two runs on nine hits while striking out six. Scharwarber and Kepler hit their home runs in the seventh, tying the score and then putting the Phillies ahead. Tanner Banks, Jordan Romano and Jose Alvarado were perfect in relief over the final three innings.

Johan Rojas made a great catch in center in the top of the ninth to help Alvarado lock down the save.
