Dylan Covey absorbed the final two innings, allowing one more Padres run. Padres' starter Pedro Avila baffled the Phillies' line-up, allowing two hits in his 6 2/3 innings. The Phillies collected singles from Brandon Marsh, Jake Cave and Edmundo Sosa and Nick Castellanos grounded into three double plays.
