What Happened: Phillips improved to 2-0 with six shutout innings, limiting the Pirates to four hits while striking out three. Yunior Marte, Jose Alvarado and Jose Ruiz kept the Pirates off the board the final three innings of the game. Weston Wilson started the scoring with a sacrifice fly in the second, followed by an RBI single from Garrett Stubbs. RBIs from Trea Turner, Bryce Harper and Alec Bohm in the seventh inning gave the Phillies a 5-0 lead and some breathing room. Nick Castellanos hit a solo home run in the top of the ninth, his 14th of the year, to put the game out of reach.
Featured Card: As I wait to add more Phillips cards to my collection, I'll go with Stubbs for this post. The back-up catcher went 2 for 3 on the afternoon, and he filled in nicely while regular catcher J.T. Realmuto was on the Injured List.
