Happy Birthday Ben!

Our youngest son Ben officially enters his teenage years today, which is a somewhat terrifying sentence to type and then read back.  Time is seemingly speeding up, and I'm focused on enjoying every moment and soaking up as much as I possibly can.

Ben's final pre-teen year was a blur as he continued to develop his amazing piano skills, he spent a ton of time on the tennis courts and he ran cross country and track for his middle school.  He's now proud of his status as a world traveler, having toured London and Paris this past summer.  Ben has also been showing off his creative side with a few inventive and imagination-fueled blogs of his own that are designed for family viewing only at this point.  He speaks his mind, he knows what he likes and I'm proud of his kind heart.

He's silly, smart and a great kid.  Ben cracks me up.  He has a knack of giving a look, making a noise or saying things that catch me off guard and make me laugh unexpectedly.  And now he's 13.  Hard to believe.
