With the Pirates holding a 2-0 lead, RBI singles from Kyle Schwarber and Rhys Hoskins in the seventh tied the game up. The bullpen was again impressive, with Jose Alvarado working out of his self-created trouble in the eighth and Seranthony Dominguez pitching a perfect ninth. Hoskins, leading off the 10th with the ghost runner at second, hit his 20th home run into the center field bleachers to give the Phillies a 4-2 lead. Connor Brogdon pitched a quick bottom of the 10th, recording his first save of the season.
