Game 65 - 2018 Topps Now #490 Chase Utley

Dodgers 5
, Phillies 3
Game 65 - Late Tuesday Night, June 15th in Los Angeles
Record - 32-33, 2nd Place, 5 games behind the Mets

One Sentence Summary:  The Phillies battled back to tie the game, but once again the bullpen couldn't hold the lead in this 5-3 loss to the Dodgers.

What It Means:  Having lost the first two games of the series, the Phillies will attempt to avoid the sweep on Wednesday night.  (Spoiler alert - they did.)

What Happened:  Zach Eflin only went five innings, allowing three runs on seven hits.  Andrew McCutchen homered in the second to tie the score at 1-1, and then Odubel Herrera hit a two-run single in the fifth to tie the score at 3-3.  Mookie Betts did the late-inning damage for the Dodgers, hitting a go-ahead home run off Ranger Suarez in the seventh and driving in an insurance run with an RBI-single off Archie Bradley in the eighth.  The Phillies offense went 1 for 9 with runners in scoring position.  Both Bryce Harper (back) and Jean Segura (groin) exited this game early, adding horrible news to what was already a bad night for the Phillies.

Featured Card:  I don't think he was in attendance for this game, but Chase Utley was in the stands on Tuesday night to watch his two former teams battle it out.  I'll look for any excuse I can find to post an Utley card whenever I can, even if he's wearing a Dodgers uniform.
