Game 140 - 2019 Topps Heritage High Numbers Chrome #THC-535 J.T. Realmuto

Mets 5Phillies 4
Game 140 - Friday Night, September 6th in Queens
Record - 72-68, Tied for 3rd place, 15 games behind the Braves

One Sentence Summary:  Nick Vincent surrendered a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth to send the Mets to a 5-4 victory.

What It Means:  For the second game in a row, Vincent, a September call-up and a reliever cast off by the Giants in early August, was on the mound when the opposing team walked off with the win.

What Happened:  With the exception of J.T. Realmuto, once again the offense couldn't come up with a big hit to give the Phillies a comfortable lead.  Maikel Franco, making his first start since returning to the club, tied the game in the sixth at 2-2 with an RBI single.  Blake Parker and Hector Neris (who didn't appear to be completely warmed up when he was waved in) allowed the Mets to take a 4-2 lead in the eighth.

Bryce Harper left the game in the third when a Steven Matz fastball caught him flush on his hand.

Featured Card:  Realmuto had an RBI double in the fifth and a huge, two-run home run (23) in the top of the ninth to tie the game.  It seems as if he's been almost single-handedly carrying the Phillies recenlty.
