I never thought of it until seeing them together now, but Juan Samuel is like Tony Taylor 20 years later...similar happy-go-lucky personalities, both from the Caribbean, both played second base, both had long (16 and 19 year) careers, both hit about .260 with over 1500 hits and 200 stolen bases, both are mostly thought of as Phillies but spent time as Tigers, both came back to coach the Phillies including in the playoffs, both appeared in TV commercials for the Phillies (Tony's may have been for Phillies Franks, but still), and both are on the Phillies Wall of Fame. Pretty cool!
