1971 Topps Missing Links: Bobby Pfeil appeared in 44 games for the 1971 Phillies, hitting a respectable .271 while serving primarily as a pinch-hitter or a late inning defensive replacement. He played every position that season except pitcher and center field, logging the most time at third base with 15 games. Pfeil's only two mainstream baseball cards can be found in the 1970 Topps set (with the Mets) and in the 1972 Topps set (with the Red Sox, although he never played a game for Boston).
His sole Phillies baseball card can be found in the team-issued photo card set from 1971.
I didn't know that Bobby Pfiel played for the Phillies. Nice job on both customs!
