Game 19 - 2012 Topps Heritage High Numbers #H614 Juan Pierre

Rockies 4, Phillies 3 (12)
Game 19 - Friday Night, April 19th in Denver
Record - 11-8, Tied for 1st place, 1 1/2 games ahead of the Braves and Nationals

One Sentence Summary:  Manager Gabe Kapler called it a "brutal" and "devastating loss," as Charlie Blackmon hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the 12th to lead the Rockies to a 4-3 win.

What It Means:  For a team that's supposed to be competitive, the Phillies sure have had a lot of these "worst loss" of the season moments so far this year.

What Happened:  The offense had 17 hits but went 1 for 16 with runners in scoring position, leaving 19 runners stranded.  Scott Kingery and Andrew McCutchen both exited the game with injuries.  The Phillies took the lead in the 12th when Phil Gosselin singled and Bryce Harper doubled him home.  With two outs in the bottom of the 12th, a runner on first and two strikes on Blackmon, reliever Juan Nicasio threw a cookie to Blackmon who launched the ball into center field for the win.

Featured Card:  As Matt Breen Tweeted, Bryce Harper collected his first career five-hit game, making him the first Phillies player to have five hits in a game since Juan Pierre did it in 2012.
