Jim Kaat! I remember just before the 1976 season, the Phillies acquired Kaat and Ron Reed, to bolster the pitching staff that already had Carlton, Lonborg, Christenson, McGraw, and Garber. That, plus having Dick Allen for a full season really stoked the fans.
