2015 Topps Heritage #230 Ben Revere

Phillies 7, Pirates 5
Spring Training Game 32 - Friday Night, April 3rd in Philadelphia
Record - 13-17-2

One Sentence Summary:  Ben Revere's first extra-base hit of the spring was a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth to give the Phillies a 7-5 win.

What It Means:  We almost almost made a spontaneous trip to Citizens Bank Park last night to take in the exhibition action, but we opted for the comfort of our couch instead.  After watching all three hours and sixteen minutes of this game, I believe we made the right choice.

What Happened:  Aaron Harang didn't look sharp in his final spring tune-up, allowing four runs on nine hits in 4 2/3 innings.  Cody Asche drove in a pair of runs while Jeff Francoeur had three hits.

Featured Card:  A few weeks back, Revere's name was pencilled into the starting line-up as the team's left fielder, a position he had never played with the Phillies.  His shift from center was to make room for Odubel Herrera, who is a natural infielder and who has never played above Double-A.  It's going to be that kind of season.

Nevertheless, it was fun to watch Revere get mobbed by his teammates at home after his line drive game-winning home run to right.  This is Revere's card from the 1966 Topps inspired Heritage set, now almost a month old.
