A.J. Burnett's recent signing with the Pirates allows me to play with my 1985 Topps template and make a Pirates card to mark Burnett's return to Pittsburgh. This is the first of what should be many cards in the 2015 Chachi Departures insert set.
Burnett received a one-year deal from the Pirates worth $8.5 million, after turning down an option worth $12.75 million to pitch for the Phillies in 2015. So in essence, Burnett paid $4.25 million not to pitch for the Phillies. While you and I try to wrap our minds around that, here's the latest list of offseason Phillies comings and goings.
