2014 Topps Turkey Red #83 Roy Halladay

Brewers 6, Phillies 2
Game 9 - Thursday Night, April 10th in Philadelphia
Record - 3-6, 5th Place, 4 games behind the Nationals

One Sentence Summary:  The Brewers easily handled the Phillies, completing the three-game sweep with a 6-2 victory.

What It Means:  It's still really early, but it sure seems as if it's going to be a long season.  Nine games into the season, and the Phils are in last place in the N.L. East.

What Happened:  Cliff Lee was victimized by a lack of run support, as the staff ace earned his first loss of the year.  He pitched six innings, allowing three runs on eight Brewers hits.  Jeff Manship didn't retire a batter in the seventh, allowing three more Brewers runs.

Featured Card:  I saw a slightly depressing Tweet following last night's game, pointing out that the last Phillies pitcher to win a game at Citizens Bank Park was the now-retired Roy Halladay.  Halladay won against the Marlins back on September 17th, and he'd play his last game a week later on September 23rd.
