1989 Topps Wax Box Cards #O Kent Tekulve

Twins 3, Phillies 2
Game 65 - Tuesday Night, June 11th in Minneapolis
Record 31-34, 3rd Place, 8 games behind the Braves

One Sentence Summary:  After Ryan Howard's clutch single tied the game, the bullpen duo of Mike Adams and Antonio Bastardo couldn't hold the lead and the Twins won, 3-2.

What It Means:  The Phillies lost their fourth game in a row to a team in last place.

What Went Wrong:  As this game progressed, I was horribly frustrated by two realizations:

1.  All my photos embedded within blog posts dating back to the end of February were gone, replaced with gray minus signs in circles.  I soon realized that I was the cause of this problem as I had changed some of the privacy settings in a few of my recent Picasa web albums.  Any of my readers maintaining their own blogs can only imagine how simultaneously frustrating and deflating this is.  So I'm going to begin the inane task of going back and re-uploading all photos into posts published between the end of February and now.

My second realization was independent of this, but still as frustrating.

2.  The 2013 Phillies stink.

Featured Card:  I'm seriously bummed.  Here's a Kent Tekulve card.

3 comments:

  1. I hate when I have an unpleasant chore to do and I decide to offset it by doing it while watching or listening to the game--and the game stinks. It makes it doubly bad!

Tonight I am tempted to watch a big win from 2008 or 2009 on DVD rather than the game itself. I don't think I can take this team anymore!

  2. P.S. I miss box bottom cards.

P.P.S. If anyone reading this has a 1987 Reggie White box bottom card they'd be willing to trade, please let me know--I think it is the only Eagles or Phillies box bottom card I still need.

  3. Almost back to normal with the missing photos. What a truly frustrating experience.

I miss box bottom cards too.
