At the Ballpark: Tomorrow night is Teacher Appreciation Night at the ballpark and the Phillies will host a Youth Baseball Celebration on Saturday night. Sunday is Mother's Appreciation Day with all women 15 and older receiving a Chase Utley Tote Bag. Sunday afternoon's game has been pushed back an hour to accommodate the annual Broad Street Run.
In my youth, I participated in the Broad Street Run twice. Now older and wiser, I have more than enough sense to realize that running 10 miles all at once isn't really that much fun.
