2012 Phillies Team Issue 2 #16 Jason Pridie

Jason Pridie, we hardly knew you.  The first player on the 2012-2013 offseason transaction list won't raise many eyebrows, but Pridie's departure kicks off The Phillies Room offseason player movement tracker.

Signed as a minor league free agent in mid-June, Pridie appeared in 10 games with the Phillies in July.  He had previously seen time in the Majors with the Twins and Mets.  In his sole start (in center field) on July 8th against the Braves, Pridie went 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 RBIs.  Guys like Pridie have no business appearing on a Phillies baseball card, but amazingly enough, the team granted him a card in the second series of their postcard set.  It's a safe bet this will be his only Phillies baseball card appearance.  (Other than his Chachi card, which doesn't really count.)
