First Game:  The Cubs began life in the National League as the White Stockings (1876-1889), before changing their name to the Colts (1890-1897), trying out the Orphans for a few years (1898-1902) and finally settling on the Cubs (1903-present).  In the first year of the Phillies existence, back when they were known as the Quakers, the White Stockings defeated the Quakers by a score of 11-9, on May 11, 1883.

At the Ballpark:  Tomorrow night is the Phanatic About Reading Night and all kids will receive a Phanatic story book.  Kids can run the bases following Saturday afternoon's game and all men receive a white Phillies cap on Sunday afternoon as part of Father's Appreciation Day.
