1970 Topps #436
1970 Topps Appreciation:  Tomorrow, I'm going to feature a post listing all the cards within the 1970 Topps set with some sort of Phillies connection.  For now, this is the final 1970 Topps Phillies card yet to appear within a series summary post.  The team photo used for this card doesn't match the team photos from the Phillies' 1968, 1969 or 1970 yearbooks.  Which leads me to believe that perhaps this photo was taken especially for Topps?

Thanks for following along all season and thanks especially to Jim from Downingtown, who commented throughout the year on these posts with additional interesting tidbits about the players featured.  I'll be back next season with these series preview posts, looking at the cards with Phillies connections throughout the 1982 Topps set.

That's a great card with a nice shot of Connie Mack, and I was going to flag that card in my database as a "want"... only to find that I already have it. Maybe I didn't pay much attention because it was "just a team card".
