So if you are trying to track down just _different_ looking fronts, and you have the retail team set, the only card you need from the Pepsi set is the Lieber card.Steve F.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00753488569249068229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6433941530167569659.post-51378042048578666072013-04-10T17:28:06.100-04:002013-04-10T17:28:06.100-04:00Thanks for the info Steve! Thanks for the info Steve!Jimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06161762602291616465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6433941530167569659.post-34149385964225086862013-04-10T14:07:55.756-04:002013-04-10T14:07:55.756-04:00I reviewed my binder last night, and here is a run...I reviewed my binder last night, and here is a rundown of different versions of 2007 Topps base-set-style Phillies cards. In addition to the base Topps cards:

- J.D. Durbin had a different photo in the Chrome set from his base card photo

- Joe Bisenius had only a Chrome card

- Michael Bourn and Tim Gradoville had only autographed Chrome cards

- Jon Lieber had a Pepsi card with different cropping and a horizontal orientation

- Lieber also had a 3rd cropping (of the same photo) for a Chrome card

- Jamie Moyer, Jimmy Rollins, Chase Utley and Brett Myers all had different photos in the retail team set

- Phillie Phanatic was only in the Opening Day set (so only in a white border card)

I wasn't aware of the Utley Pepsi variation; I have to take a closer look and move it into my binder perhaps!
Steve F.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00753488569249068229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6433941530167569659.post-28980165173840477712013-04-09T22:21:11.121-04:002013-04-09T22:21:11.121-04:00Thanks to the link you sent me, my 2007 Topps Reta...Thanks to the link you sent me, my 2007 Topps Retail set is on its way. Now I just need to track down the Pepsi set, which I wasn't aware existed until the comment from 14k Phillies.Jimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06161762602291616465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6433941530167569659.post-24297223239986429612013-04-09T18:00:27.832-04:002013-04-09T18:00:27.832-04:00I don't know if I ever got the retail set so I...I don't know if I ever got the retail set so I'm not sure of the variations there. Also in addition to the Lieber card the Pepsi set has a different Utley photo. That set uses the same picture as the Opening day set, him running the bases, but it is on the black border.Burnellnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6433941530167569659.post-27577393828785406692013-04-08T16:12:11.521-04:002013-04-08T16:12:11.521-04:00Thanks for the info! Also, Topps produced a version of the set for Pepsi -- all the card numbers begin with "P" -- in which the Lieber card is cropped differently and placed in a horizontal layout rather than the standard vertical.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
